My luck, I'd choke to death on a chess piece, and poke an eye out with a knitting needle :P

No no, your luck has already changed. Might as well start skydiving right now, before the next round of 3 accidents come up! ;)

Some of you guys should possibly be taking up Chess or Knitting as a hobby!

Hope you all recover over Christmas :-)

I think I might go that route. As Johan rissik pointed out I seem to be a recumbent rider.

Decided on a solo ride to end the year yesterday at Northern Farms, was going too fast down the one stretch on the blue. After the rains and the 2 days of sun, I hit a stretch of loose sand, freaked out and over corrected went over hard. My bike is fine, nothing broken but got a serious case of whiplash from noggin whacking the ground.

Foosball .. I should stick with that ...

So are you claiming that you knocked sense into yourself? ;) :P

Remember, no good story ever started with, "while on holiday I was at the foosball table..." just like the reason we have alcohol, because no good story started with a salad... ;)

Hope you recover and get back on the bike soon...forget the foosball.

Hahaaaa, but I'm good at foosball, and the worse injury I've ever gotten is a broken nail. :D

If I could knock the bits of the brain that triggers fear - that would be awesome. Sense, hmmm might need some repeat treatment

Most women I know will freak out a lot more over that broken nail than broken bones...

You can't lose all fear, then there will be no adrenaline rush from the thrill.

Have you attended a skills clinic? My sister started riding this year and I literally had to teach her to ride a bike like you would a little kid and I sent her on a skills clinic, and sure, she has a long way to go, but, in those two days she attended her riding improved dramatically - well worth the money I spent because my last shred of sanity was going to go if I tried.

She attended an all woman's skills clinic too, and I think it helped being taught by another woman (ok, maybe it just helped that it wasn't big brother ;))

I've actually been to two. The first one was way too soon, zero fitness or riding ability - i thought i could pay them to teach me to ride. I think i was like your sister - had to go back to basics - though after that lesson I did manage to do some tight figure of eights (from someone who couldn't even turn 180 on my bike )

Problem is the voices in my head - once I can shut the doubt out I might just stay up more :)

Hope your sister is enjoying the journey - I know I'm loving it - even through the pain and suffering!!!

I know all about voices in the head....3 of the 4 voices in my head want to go to sleep, and the other 1 wants to know if penguins have knees...

She is enjoying the ride (pun intended) and extremely unimpressed about my injuries because she doesn't want to ride alone.

We have a winner - there is nothing more painful than stepping on Lego!

Went home yesterday to check on things. Did some work, but got sooo frustrated not being able to do anything with the shattered wrist, that I came back to Kei Mouth. Delegated to my staff. I'll try again Thurs.
