Seeding conundrum

Not sure the upcoming 99er will be used for seeding for Argus 2015. Sorry, Cape Town Cycle Tour...  :whistling:

Yes - I think you are right that it will not count as full seeding event (100%), but it should count as a normal event with the benefit that they use separate seeding. Hence one does not have to be a PPA member to get a reasonable seeding. And then it can count 34% towards CTCT. So it could  benefit non PPA members even though this year's 99'er is seeding event for CTCT 2016.

If it is your best result it will count 100% as it is an official seeding event.

Your PPA membership status is irrelevant when it comes to seeding, only your results.

Bonk-king is referring to what % the 2015 99er race counts towards your 2015 Argus seeding.

100% of my 2014 99er counted towards my seeding for my first lap of the 2014 Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cape Town Cycle Tour.

Does anybody know for a fact? If 2015 99'er counts 100% towards 2015 CTCT then I am VERY pleasantly surprised!

I know for a FACT that if it is your BEST result to date they will use it 100%.

I will give up all my strava KOM's if I am wrong.

Here you go... Says the 2014 99er will be used as a seeding event for 2014 Argus

Most recent event to count for 2015 is the Burger.

You can keep your KOMs...[/quote

It said the same thing last year. What is said and what is done I two different things.

They are not going to go through the effort of removing the 99er from the list before running the seeding run.

Help me if I'm wrong. Checked this morning with race organizers...but the last seeding event for the 2015 CTCT was in November 2014. So...work on your 2016 seeding....

Often in life people will tell you they will do one thing but in reality they go and do something else.

The race organisers are no different....
