It’s hard doing a review on a second hand bike. You don’t know it’s history, and particularly with this one, I don’t even know its age. But this is a special review, something different, something sentimental. This is my first Beijing bike. And my girlfriend bought it for me.

Great story!! brought back a flood of memories from a recent trip to Amsterdam where I rented a similar machine. It such a stark reality check in country where bicycles are the main for of transport as opposed to here where we use them for recreation.

 

You start to resect the simplicity of 2 wheels that get you from A to B.. no one judging you on how old and rickety your bike is. Seems to be such a competitive culture here in SA, where we all want the latest and greatest. Over their no one cares for that. so long as the wheels turn.... ( infact you probably want your bike to stand out as little as possible. more chance of finding in the street where you left it )
