Bike was secured to the bakkie and went missing sometime between 11:00 and 12:30.Get further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section
Sebnemer Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Very similar thing happened to us yesterday, they stole 2 of our bikes from our Thule bike rack just outside our house hope we will get them back but... And check for frames on sale as well, that is probably how they would get away with it...

This is the Wild West, we read about this every single day on the hub. Honestly, I am really sorry you lost your bike, to the rest of the guys reading this. Please, keep your bikes with you at all times during a race.

IndianRoadie Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 this is so sad i was there yesterday in the allocated parking and i noticed some shady guys sitting around watching the people but i couldn't really do anything as they were just sitting there. that being said i noticed alot of people just leave their bikes on their racks and head back to the venue :-( easy targets hope you find your ride buddy.

If the organisers expect everyone to stay and support post ride events then they should provide one. I an see alot of people just finishing a ride and then heading home in fear of having their bikes stolen off bike racks.
