trail - er - park Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Yes, I would. I have before, and it's a wonderful rear tire. Fast rolling, just enough grip on the side knobs and it loves to get loose at times. Just don't show it tar. It'll weep harder than Hakkinen standing in front of a hedge... ..... but no issues with that black stuff - my bikes seem to have a asphalt / bitumen allergy ..... .... so we stay well clear!
Pikey Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 Sure, man. Just remember to get the TCS version (Tubeless Compatible System) with the Inner Peace doohickey. Don't be put off by the 2.2 - it's a WIDE tyre. Very round in profile as well, so it leans nicely as well. i need to go wolverine on the back of the taxi,if it's fast rolling. Would i notice the differance between that and the 2.3 vigilante that I have on there now?

Wolverine has far shorter, closer spaced knobs (like Jo'burg city centre, actually) and rolls beautifully. It's a bit pressure sensitive, and likes to be run a bit harder than normal cos the sidewalls aren't as thick as a Super Gravity or Snakeskin tyre, but they're pretty tough nonetheless. Only had one gash and that was thanks to a dagger-shaped rock that I just rolled off at the wrong angle. Stitched it up again, applied a patch internally and HEY presto. Good as new. I think I ran it for another 6 months or so like that, not a problem

The Rock Razor Super Gravity. Same side knobs as the Magic Mary, middle knobs like a small block 8 and sidewalls thicker than the lions tight 5.

Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 lol..is the RR super gravity as durable ?tough to say. I haven't ridden it a lot. It's probably far better in cornering, once you've leant the bike all the way over. But there's one thing for sure - the SG casings are super duper strong.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 But to find them is another story entirely
Eddy Gordo Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Nice review. I am still running 26" wheels and love them, dont think I would change either
Pikey Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 But to find them is another story entirelyThere had to be a catch ????..where would I start up here in the big city?
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 There had to be a catch ..where would I start up here in the big city?CRC Bikediscount.de you can TRY Evobikes or Easybike. If you're dealing with EasyBike though, make sure to phone them first as they have screwed up a few orders recently - showing stock levels that just don't exist.
Pikey Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 Nice review. I am still running 26" wheels and love them, dont think I would change eitherCheers...it was supposed to be a fork comparison. But ended up as I wrote it because of how transformed the bike itself felt. I think we get caught up in so much bs advertising and forget the real reason we wanna ride....coz we big kids and can't stop laughing or t/t's whislt hammering it down a rocky single track. As El captain said "Yep. Wheel size should be the last consideration. Head angle, suspension design, geometry. Tyres, pressure etc. " If just one person is toying with the idea of buying an enduro/ trail machine, reads this and decides to take the plunge instead of a carbon 100mm 9r. Then bonus especially if it's a 26r that he stole from someone coz there dead....???? lmfao
