I have 2015 Spark 950 and cannot get rid of a noisy saddle. I weigh 100 km and was just wondering if anyone else has the same problem.

Quite a few threads on squeaks ,pings and creaks coming from Scott"s  spark and genius...I eliminated an annoying creak ...take out the BB height adjuster"that 2-sided oval thingy" clean it and put it back don't grease it....Hope this helps

I seem to have isolated it to the saddle because there is no squeak if I

> strand and dont pedal

> stand and pedal

> sit on the front of the seat and pedal

The squeak only appears when I sit normally. We changed the saddle and was fine for about 100km but now is back. I think the saddle design is faulty and cannot handle 100kg

You sure its not from the seat post itself? Had the same issue, went away with some proper greasing of the post, however that introduced a new issue where my saddle keeps slipping down. Ive threaded the bolt now trying to tighten it during a ride, shop here I come...

I have just bought a new Spark 950 2016 model. After a week it was creaking like a son of a bitch, extremely irritating was putting it mildly. I found it very difficult to isolate the source of the creak as it resonated throughout the frame. After much time and frustration, and almost taking it to the agent, I pushed down on the cross tube instead of the saddle (to check if creak still persisted afer many lube efforts to sort it)...creak gone.. THEN.. I stripped the entire saddle assemble and sprayed all bolts slides everything with furniture wax...assembled it all again,, and happy to report.. I am a silent rider..All the blame on the pivots etc etc were unfounded.. I sure hope this helps someone one day. I am sure this principle could be employed on all bolts and threads which are subjected to water and detergents rendering them dry and prone to squeaking and creaking..

Scott Sparks have a reputation for creaking, anyway my Scott branded saddle developed a creak, turned it upside down and found it had cracked. It was a pretty old saddle though.
