As long as AL is by itself going down the steps it's manageable, for the open groups this section is about the most dangerous riding I've come across in all the events I've done. Fast, narrow, bumpy oncoming traffic, merged groups, frantic attempt to get to the front as the break happens at the bottom of that slope.
