Bonus Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Saw a guy with a shredded shirt laying in the road at about the 70km mark. Tandem had pulled over and was going back to see him. Don't know if the two had touch wheels or something, but looked nasty. Our group split to go around the poor chap.
Zatek Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I was also held up at the crash in AL. Worked hard and together with some AL but could not pull them back. Had a nice 1km sprint for the line but just missed it. Miss my sub 3 with 3min. May be next year.

Blue Monster Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Anyone know how the guys that crashed in A are doing?My mate in C saw a cyclist hit by a car near the end I believe. Anyone know anything about him? I was also dropped after the AL crash, tried to catch the lead group, but was not going to happen.Finished in 3.05, two min slower than last year, but from BL last year.

Eldron Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I had a great day out. Rode to the stadium then had a chilled ride with my mates and home. It was kinda cool not racing, just riding along, doing some pacing, helped a lady with a puncture etc. Sometimes we forget to have fun on the bikes - I for one get caught up in the racetrainracetrainracetrain cycle too much!

Smells like short cut syndrome to me.The first 2 listed finisher definitely had ride the short route (while they'd started with the long group) Clearly these kind of race-distance cheating is on the increase
Zatek Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I had a urge to tell them **** your fast, didn't see you pass me would you mind taking a pull or 5 in front but take it easy on us AL group please. All it takes is 1 extra matt after the turn off for the shorter distances.

Reality is that it doesn't affect us in the end.
