Some cement needs to dry and then the line is race ready!!

A big shout out to Peach, various spruit rats and other community members for the help. We moved close to 5 tons of soil and rocks to build it... Enjoy it!!

Looking forward to the ride, just remember it is endurance and not a downhill event

I wouldn't call a couple of bumps on a trail a downhill event, if anything it's a bit more trail orientated, everything can be rolled at any speed.

I like that, gives those that want to have a bit of fun and get some air that option but mere mortals like me can have our kind of fun!

Online entries close TONIGHT at 11pm, so get your entries in. There will be line entries from 7am on Saturday (until capacity has been reached) but the cost is R200 on the day, instead of R160 online. Everything is coming together to make this the best year yet - dont miss out!!

Will there be a permanent water point on route? And terrain wise, are there technical sections (rocky areas?) on route?

There is no water point out on the course - not necessary based on the lap distance but we do have a water table on the sports field in the transition zone, that will have water, 32gi and bananas.  So you will not need to leave the route to refuel and fill up water bottles etc.  Solo riders can also leave any additional food/drinks under this table.

There are a few slightly technical sections but nothing rocky and nothing insane, there are chicken runs or alternative options for anything tricky.  The route is 100% ridable and awesome at the same time.  If I can ride it anyone can!!!

Prize money SuzieQ?

There are cash prizes as well as some others but we havent finalized anything yet, as we still have prizes coming in, and will sort them according to value.  Some of the actual prizes we have so far are:

3 full bike services

B&B weekend in Harties

32gi hampers

Tiger brands hampers

A remote control Helicopter

Cycling kit

Bike tools/stuff

Cash prizes (but these will not pay off your home loan or buy you a new bike, just a little something to make the day more worthwhile - it is a fundraiser for a remedial school  :) )
