Either I am an absolutely fantastic rider, or the Scale is a very capable and forgiving bike to ride. I'm pretty sure, if asked, all my riding buddies would opt for the latter explanation

Having ridden a couple... my first bike was a Scott Aspect and I loved it, good value for money those days and a very good Alu frame so the Spark get's a check in the box. I don't know the Talon, but have ridden the XTC for a number of years and it's IMO one of the best hard tails around. GT Zaskar..... Awesome frame, just check the components. The last Momsen HT I picked up felt like a block of cement so can't give a view on that. Just my 5c.

Yes there are risks, but top class X9/X0 groupset and weight just under 11kg. I was looking at the 429 and Sola myself, but just thought ill try this route.

I have been looking and I don't see much that tickles my fancy although I am quite fussy. Was originally looking for a Flash 29 alloy but doesn't look like there are many. This is bike number 3 for the occasional ride around Ct and longer distance so I don't need a 30k carbon. Just something mid spec and newish hence looking at the sola 1. Have you seen the 2015 model? It looks hot! Anyway, will keep looking and my Reign / jump bike will need to do. Ps: how's it going?
