I have a 3 stage mechanical dropper. I also thought I would miss the infinite positioning of my previous dropper. But once you ride it. The 3 position 'limitation' makes far more sense.

Ever drop your post a little only to raise or lower it slightly again after a pedal stroke or 2?

With the 3 position setting you set up your height beforehand. So that all 3 settings are where they should be instead of trying to figure out where you want it mid ride. You get use to this very quickly and it kind of sets things up in a more ordered fashion. Instead of guessing and fiddling mid ride.

I'm so use to it, that every time it clicks into the place I want it. Its as reassuring as a chain moving onto the right sprocket after changing gear. Its almost satisfying.

Its kind of like when everyone went 1x10. In the beginning it seemed nonsesical to give up that much range for an extra inch of bar room and 100 gram weight benefit.

But the option of having more gears to choose from didn't only turn out to be unnecessary for most of us. But also a bit of a nuisance.

Its the same with the dropper. You really don't need infinite positioning. In fact after you ride a 3 position setup. You won't even want it anymore.

I can tell by typing this that I don't sound very convincing. But its something you realize only in practice. I can honestly say though. That I am not looking forward to my next dropper upgrade if it has an infinite positioning.

I read about that one now. I really don't want to go back to infinite positioning when its upgrade time. I think that e13 one will be my next dropper hey. Depends on price and availability I guess.

Finally a solution for all those who regret having bought white shoes. Love that work.

As soon as my white ballerina shoes are scuffed up enough... ????

You mean they are not yellow yet?

They've been through rain and grime

And lots of miles.

The Italian tannies at Fizik know how to make a pair of shoes.

Very impressive. ???? ????
