I am in love with him..... would ride for hours behind those legs... mmmmm

He is a great cyclist, I think climbing is his pitfall.

And will support him always.

But will put my money on the skinny ones.

Those guys will eat him for breakfast .

You really think so?

Road riding requires a lot of endurance especially tour riding.

I think he should be able to do well in XCO. Don't think the shortish climbs would hurt him as much. And I'm sure what he lacks in climbing he will be able to make up on descending and technical riding.

Will he be able to win the world cup...........I don't think so but he won't do to badly. I do however think he could match the style department like Nino.

Yes I do, Cadel Evans also struggled to cut it.

XCO or Cross Country as it was formerly known is a different discipline and requires a different type of rider.

The problem with us South Africans we think the term "cyclist" means that one can win everything and anything.

Is It just me or has 'Dale been MIA since Sagan moved from Cannondale?

Yeah, man...

Things have changed.

:-(

RACING / TACTICAL SMARTNESS

Sagaaan is looking lean and mean and I reckon, if he improves his racing intelligence, he will get top spot at the Monuments over the next few seasons.

TEAM COVER / SUPPORT

He will also have greater team support this year.

Remember, road cycling is a team sport.

He was exposed far too often with Cannondale.

I totally agree with you but he started out in MTB.

Surely his body adapted to road cycling but it does not mean he is not able to perform well in XCO

Many many riders won at junior level test struggled at elite level.

I don't think many can comprehend how good guys like Nino, Sauser, Overend and Juarez actually are .

don't know much about cycling do you...?

Sagan isn't a pure sprinter.  He never was and never will be, so thinking Sagan will win in Qatar is almost like thinking Kittel will win the Roubaix.

He's a hell of a good rider and perhaps the most feared (and marked) man in most of the Classics.  He will win at least 10 races and the green jersey this year, I'd put money on that!

Maybe you should read what the OP said another time.

I think he was referring to the sprints .

Seems like he does know something about cycling .
