It might not even work, and the strength of it depends on how charged the battery is. The good ones are too big to ride with. Pepper spray on the other hand is very handy. Try cape union mart. You can always pepper spray the (&*(( and then tazer And disable both his kneecaps. He will have some choice words for you in his golden olden days when he struggles to walk, or whenever some bad weather comes in.

Well in that case pepper spray is useless because you have to make contact with the face region, so you better have good a good aim. Neither are perfect, but I back the tazer because at least you just have to make contact.... anywhere. Also if you are threatened at a distance, you press that button and it is unlikely some the perp will come any closer. It's a rather scary sound.Tazer in one hand, pepper spray in the other may be the best option

I ride there a lot on my own ??

I ride there a lot on my own ??I used to ride every weekend had a knee injury so for a year we didn't ride we started again recentlyIn all the happy safe km I have had I know of,,1 incident where a mate an I took a small drop off there was a cable noose neck high placed at the drop off, and a loose small tree was placed(planted) so if you grabbed the tree for support you you'll grab a loose " tree" ,,THERE BY THE DAIRY ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE TAR ROAD we heard the scum run off laughing there asses off ,,,my mate saw the noose in time I am as blind as a bat I would not have seen it , when he pulled my back I automatically grabbed the loose tree for support, just as they plannedUnfortunately I saw a lady pass away (not crime related) shame not niceA few minor incidents in the parking lot, minor theft(as in the whole of SA )A group got jacked/robbed half way up breedts by the tree line We got a drunk group at the shebeen once again not uncommon At VG THE FARM ITSELF NO,,(other than the car park theft) but there are incidents I have heard of not going to mention as it was not told to me directly, so that would be via via via When I say VG I WRONGLY did not specifically say in and around VG the routes we all ride.In fact I think VG is very safe( relatively speaking) as a solo rider I wouldn't suggest It from a crime perspective and when you fall at VG it's normally a EINNA FALL with it being more technical than most are used to with the rocksAs I said I have seen many solo ladies it's my opinion it's too remote and dangerous

Had one bad otb other side of dagga pad but fortunately there was help from 3 other guys about 10 mins later. Some of that area is a bit wild for solo riding. I often ride from VG farm to Breedts and back and touch wood I've had no crime related incidents but I'm starting to become more weary these days....just cant be complacent anywhere anymore!! As for women riding there solo....that aint wise!

Was very nearly taken out by a guy on a quad bike coming out of one of those driveways! Was actually new years day, think he was still on the jol from night before!!
