Was an enjoyable morning. For anyone who's ever ridden at Modderfontein, you'd know what to expect from the race. Was still challenging when done at race pace.

These USN races are a good way to increase your seeding index - it helps for the more important races such as National MTB series and Magalies Monster.

I did the 50km and enjoyed. However I am quite disappointed with the USN Cup races. No goodie bags, poor water tables. And although there were spike's at the end there was nothing else on offer. My two boys who did the 10km didn't get medals as there was nobody handing them out when they finished. Otherwise, great venue, well marked course and a good challenging course. 5/10

Enjoyed the race. My Garmin indicated 703m of climbing and Kudos to all the guys and girls in B batch 50km. Everybody gave way and it was a pleasure.

Only problem I had was the right hand egg beater decided to loose it's bearings so for the last 15 km it was an effort to keep the pedal on the shaft.

Water points are poor, but the trail was fantastic.

Was a pretty decent race, enjoyed myself. Some frustrations with a few bottlenecks on the tech stuff (thanks to me not being seeded) and guys not letting you past on the singletrack.

All in all, was fun though, wish they had supplied goodie bags, but not the end of the world.

Btw that spike energy drink is awful. And I noticed a lot of cans sitting around unfinished. I think USN needs to realise that red bull type energy drinks don't count as recovery drinks and are only opened because they're cold not because anyone actually likes them. frankly it's a terrible waste from what I can see.

Hi Guys,

Does these results get publish on the internet somewhere?

Like on SA seeding? Checked but cant find it.

I did the  30 Km , were is starting batch D, Found a lot of cyclists getting off their bikes and braking infront of the more challenging sections which wasn't that nice.

This was my first USN Mtb cup event and wish there was more obstacles.

All the best.

The race was fantastic and any frustrations were only due to all the single track and frankly I wouldn't want them to change that.

Seeding made a HUGE difference. I was in B batch for the 50km and for me it felt like just another day at Modders. Few riders around me, but no hold-ups whatsoever.

I started at the very back of C (held up getting there) and for most of the race I had the same thing, riding on my own :-)

I ride modders "often" I always think while riding ,,racing there would be *** no place to pass I can only imagine much frustration if you stuck in a group or you get caught in front of a couple of race snakes and you chillin

We've got some fine riding within city limits, really great and incredibly fortunate to be able to ride 50km odd like that so close by, and in a reserve. Absolutely no problem in paying to ride there!
Didn't find anything wrong with the water points. Water and an electrolyte drink at good placings along the route. What do people expect, 3 star catering?
Route marking, logistics and medics are more important, we're really spoilt with our events.

The real criticism lies with some of the people who rode and thought it ok to drive out the venue like complete boxes!
There's a sweet kind of irony nearly having two three head ons with people speeding out of a busy venue that's packed with runner and riders after their respective events.

To the 'Busboy' in his Subaru, you're a prize dick behind the wheel. Hope that attitude doesn't translate to your cycling.

See the same thing in the Cradle all the time. People who 10 mins before were cursing inconsiderate car drivers then jump into their own cars and turn into knobheads :-(
