What group you starting in? A good time is largely dependent on what group you in. If your in one of the back groups id say its very unlikely you'll break 3 hours and if your a licensed vet you should go in under 3 easily bar issues.

And if he is starting in I...sub 3 would be ave

Its seems Im at about 50%, not bad .... I think.

I spend most of my riding on my MTB and mainly single track riding, the only time my road bike is used is for the 94.7 and that's about it.

Thank you for the info, will have to gun it for the 25%.

The past two years I have started at 8 in the morning (I think its around P OR Q), I ride for a charity so I'm not placed according to my actual seeding time.

Been wondering, whats a good or average time to finish the race in?

I did my first race in 2013 and finished in 4 hours and 15min, last year I did it in 4 hours. Not sure what would be a good av time.

If you can beat my slowest time, you're done okay...

Starting A1. I will be very cautious. Usually I am just back from W2W with lekker sharp MTB reflexes. This year I did only the roadie thing... I will be riding a full rigid so there will be no help from the bike. I seem to remember a section in Northern farm where the rockgarden was quite challenging. I will sommer walk those.

First time doing the 55km and the MTB event...Mostly done 30km races during the year and decided that I will take the step to the big boys playing field. This was a mistake for me because of seeding and starting way at the back 8:30. Should've rather stayed with 30km better seeding and do 50km + races next year for a better seeding.

In for MTB starting A1 so hope the congestion/ bottlenecks isn't to bad.

Last year was much better than previous years. Proper race.

Been doing the 55 for a few years now, got better every year. Started in A5 last year, hardly any bottle necks etc. Whatever the case, juts going to have some fun, and get some training for the next Sunday.
