nellie Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 What an awesome race... Having been a Capetonian growing up and Free Stater through my studies, this was my first 94.7. Lekker challenging route, great organising. Haven't raced in yeaaaars, so my seeding was pretty low (considered paying for re-seeding, but seeing as there are people unhappy with even the updated seeding, i'm glad i didn't bother) So started in M, also having to pass quite a lot of people (basically a solo ride / TT for me for most of the route)... But seeing as i'd eventually be sprinting for 3647th place, took it easy when i was stuck behind people for a bit and until i could ask / alert them safely to let me pass. Even stopped at a water point for a change - big ups to the guys and girls at the Jan Smuts stop just after crossing the M1 - friendly, energetic guys and girls serving ice cold drinks! Really really good day out, albeit very hot and super windy towards the end. Managed a 3:18, so all things considered, quite happy with that and looking forward to next year...

I think passed everyone in "L" anyways. My point is that seeding is key, it prevents lots of things. Anyways big ups to the two lappers , I envy your guys power. Almost recovered ZeeeDrone! Yeah, the regular community here, often gets these heavy complaints thrown around from fresh hubbers, so we tend to ride the style of tune more than the content! You can only take so much bad vibes brah!!!! Yeah, I'd be bummed at paying to get a reseed that then is not worth the effort once it comes through! Make sure your seeding is sorted before the key events you're looking to race in come up! (Your One Tonner result is around an F seeding, but it would've been too close to the 94.7 for them to consider using it) Enjoy DC dude!

Passing roughly 500 of the 591 may have felt like that though! No need to keep looking for little bits of trivial data to roll the rile effort on! ZD has backed down and come to his senses that it's just bad manners to pull and tune! We are not a complaints department. We are a community of cyclists!

Blame the altitude .lol Apologies if I offended anyone, but freedom of speech is what I was born in to. The Twitter ride I enjoyed more got a selfie with powerful Pasio, so that was my highlight of the event. DC now that's a fun ride! Rant over.
