That's why it is almost not worth it going from slx to xt. However the shifters make a huge difference. XT is crisp. besides... you lost a whole 2g thereagree on the shifters - they are very crisp and precise. Also like the 2 down 3 up functionality. As for the FD... doesn't feel any different BUT as GoLefty pointed out; stainless vs. chrome so will probably be better wearing

canfan Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 XT shifters are way better than SLX shifters. As for the rest, not that much difference in performance. More marginal gains on weight. Price tag on XTR just doesn't make it practical for the average person (like myself) to even look at it.
