For anyone that has done this race, it is a great event, problem is this year it is the same day as Houw Hoek, what are the organisers thinking.

Houw Hoek is sold out with 900 riders,there is no ways Tru Cape will get the numbers with 900 riders doing an event 10KM down the road.

why put two rides on the same day

Tru Cape cannot cater for 900 riders anyway. Yes its a great event, and it will still be full come race day.

There is no problem, thats not the issue, The issue is why would you limit yourself to numbers when Houw Hoek is on the same day with 900 confirmed riders?

there is demand, so organizers can get away with it. Tru Cape will get their numbers believe me.

Houw Hoek is not a race but a 2 day stage "Ride", where as Tru Cape is race. So people who have done HH before will

most likely not do it again.

...all I remember of GT last year was the MUD Fest it turned out to be!!

I had a massive repair bill. Derailer, broken spokes, new chain. Plus I had to walk about 10kms to the nearest waterpoint and wait for a lift. However, I hope it is dry this year, awsome trails.

But if it really bothers you.  Soak them in luke warm water after you rubbed them with Sunlight dishwasher liquid .  It will be white again.

Yes, however these races what high yield, a week later or earlier and the yield will be higher, its a no brainer
