Bronson vs Nomad - if you could choose?

I have a Nomad. And its amazing ... But I personally think the Bronson is more suited to SA trails.

Dont get me wrong, the Nomad is amazing and I am stoked I went for it ... BUT it is overkill for what we have here in SA.

For Enduro - I would think the Bronson is just as capable with only 5mm less travel. You would feel the headangle being 2 deg steeper ... but as to whether it would be detrimental ... I doubt it ....

If you get the Nomad ... just be aware that it HATES uphill switchbacks. ... But point that thing downhill and you had better hold on....

Agree 100%!

If you do uplift days & want a do it all DH / Enduro / trail bike: The Nomad.

For 95% of the trails in SA: The Bronson.

The Nomad is probably the best bike in it's category. The Bronson....ehh, mmm , maybe not. ;)

I didn't like the look (or colour) of the bronson and the nomad seemed a bit too badass for me at the time, so I got the 5010. Love my bike to bits but in hindsight the bronson is probably the sweetspot between ability and efficiency. Nomad does look the business though!

having just taken delivery of my Nomad i have to say it is a beast of note, that thing just eats anything i can throw at it going down, spits it and and asks if that all I've got, it is more bike than i could ever hope to use. it does not however like to climb, dont get me wrong it can and i know i have to get used to the new bike etc but for now moving from  2x10 to a 1x10 is an adjustment and is hard work to peddle up hills.

i did have the thought while ordering it that perhaps it was too much bike and i have now confirmed this( especially living in Gauteng) however i know that i can do whatever i like and have the bike to handle it.

in hindsight a Bronson would have been just fine and as the cost differential is minimal would have perhaps been the better choice.

i do not however regret my decision for 1 single second and know i have more bike than my skill or fitness could hope to outgrow in this or the next lifetime.

to answer the question for me i would take the Bronson no the Nomad, uh uh uh, fark i dont know cant i just have them both?
