At the world Marathon Champs in Cascades 2014 it was 30-34 and 35-39. The series is targeted at the young, the novice and the family but also for the experienced rider. The routes are aimed to be fun and friendly, no technical and specialised bits that only the pro's can ride. The series caters for those looking to get into mountian biking as a sport, the weekend riders and the family conscious.But with great TV coverage, good prize money with provincial points up for grabs, the serious riders are drawn in to compete into a festival of mountian biking.The first event in the new series takes place on the trails between Somerset West and Stellenbosch the homeground of the Wannabees Cycling Club. The routes cross many of the famous wine farms in the area, and will be a fast paced route showcasing the beautiful green rolling hills of the area.The trails have been laid out over the past two to three years and features dual track, gravel roads and short sections of single track that anyone can enjoy!Come and share a this great new experience in a new area.
