Hi Guys, I have never completed a full marathon distance (even training rides). Did Houw Hoek Tour (yes only a tour) this weekend which was two days of around 50km and between 900 and 1000m of climbing on each day. Would I be overshooting the mark if I tried out the 70km?

No, you'll be able to do it, pace yourself, don't try to keep up will Milky, Donovan and Leaboy, and you should be fine ;)

they've always been here it's just the trailseeker series that has now been started. Events they organized before as part of the National Mtb MTB series were tulbagh, gravel travel & this year Meerendal Ashburton National Mtb Series.

Yeah sorry I specifically meant the the trailseeker series.

Finally some movement here on the forum :)

With two weeks to go, the Western Cape woke up ;)

Guys please see this as YOUR series, we've waited a couple years to get the sponsors sold... let's tell all your friends & clubs about it so we can make it big over the next year!

The Cape really needs this!

Also send me suggestions / comments of what you want and want to see!

A registration venue close to CT would be great (Riverclub, Sport Science or somewhere close that make it convenient to pop out from work to register) but i'm sure that doesn't suit everyone. Rather that than the mad rush on the morning of the event.

Or perhaps the ability to register for all four races in one go (with a little discount :whistling: ) so no need to pick up a new number for each event?

Not sure if I am looking forward to the pain I will endure this weekend over the 70km that I'm using to kickstart my personal "mtb season"

to my knowledge there is no new number for every race, you use the same number & board for all advendurance races. So whatever number you used in Jhb you should use down in Cpt.

Yes that's what I understand, will need to pick up seeding/batch sticker though....

Aaaah, think i was being a bit doff there actually. Advendurance use the SA Seeding board still? Have one from Tulbagh last year :)

Still have to queue for the event sticker on race day then
