There was a reply on twitter where somebody said Ryan Gibbons was switched so you might be correct.

Agreed, to me it looked like there was a bit of animosity there, the guy in red came out from the middle of the bunch and took him out. Well it def loos that way.

 

His line correction was huge. Looks like he finished 3rd.....

Unfortunately we can confirm that @Ryan__Gibbons crashed heavily during the stage 1 #TOGH sprint... he has gone to hospital for a checkup.

 

Looking at that video again, the orange guy wanted to round Nolan's lead-out man, but you can't change lines like that in a sprint.

 

And another thing, that was actually a very dangerous sprint finish organised by the organisers. One lane (without shoulder) is not enough for a bunch sprint with lead-out men falling back and sprinters coming through?

They are done yet.

 

It looks like they are only showing 6 riders per team, for all teams, we also have 2 riders missing from results at the moment.

 

They have said results are not out yet... so lets wait maybe they are still fixing it.
