No matter how hard the CEO screams at CSA and the timing co, they needed to get the basics right. Friends of mine who are riding said that they will not return, regardless of the empty promises that will surely follow after the event.

Isn't it an ASG Timing company. Another sister company? I kind off assumed that when I heard they're starting they're own seeding database. I might well be wrong and probably shouldn't speculate like that. But this is the hub after all.

Times are still incorrect from day 1 and nowhere to see Team GC standings.

I think it's time that there are commercial repercussions here. Not free old stock, financial ones, it's the only language that these guys seem to understand.

There are using Grevile from Grey Timing, or something of the sort.

Yeah same here. Day 1 add 30 minutes. Day 2 was good and Day 3 add 44 minutes.

A lot of people have zero time next to their names. Not quite the same as DNF

maybe they should try manual timing?

greville ruddock /great time. He's been round the block and then some with timing. Was personally at the downhill nationals over the weekend. I'd be surprised if the fault lies with them

It does, I have been speaking to him since day 2.

Sorry guys but its more than just timing, yesterdays 3 stage saw at least three of the widely distributed water points run out of water. To make things worse i had to contend with water rationing coming over the finish line to one little 200ml bottle of water.

The 30km neutral zone back to the start was actually quite welcoming for me personally, my legs needed the unwind, but there were a couple who did not have the energy, and had no arrangements for a sweeper etc to take them back. I found this highly unprepared.

I also want to mention that the distances which have been in-accurate since day one peaked for me yesterday, which was meant to be 135km and turned out to be 140km. This mental game played with me big time.

CSA and the timing debacle are for the elites and pro's to worry about, I'm an open seeded rider just looking for the bare basics to enjoy an event.

Winging asside, i can't what for PPA and Racetec to do something similar, it would be awesome!

I agree. Water is a big issue in this weather.

I was half dead riding back and seriously had to focus on my balance to not sway into traffic. I feel for all those who had to ride back. You can plan but you just never know what kind of day you're going to have. I was totally empty yesterday.

I still don't know if they start the distance at the end of the neutral zone or what. Today's neutral zone was around 10kms and total was just over 140 (race info said 138)

And yesterday was meant to be 138. I got to 139 and then got the 1km to go sign. The longest km of my life that was.

Whats the point of the much flouted and advertised team competition.

How are you team guys racing this now? I mean if you don't know who to chase?

After a massive effort today Pure Savage has sewn up the KOM jersey by taking both KOM's of the day!!

An unfortunate puncture on the glass at bottom of du Toits meant 2 boys did a 140km two man time trial!! So hot and so savage today.

Very impressed with the competition and camaraderie in the team competition. Patchelicious is a real person and not such a bad vaalie. :P

Also great to meet BDF this morning, bleak about your hand!!

They just sit on Savage's wheels all day :P

Shame I must say I felt for Nardus today, we isolated him up Bains with a few efforts and he lost his buddy (didn't catch his name) and it was game over. I felt so bad I even offered him my water bottle. He is a solid dude! I dig your team vibe, and take our marking of The Savage as a sign of respect!!
