No thread for this yet? Let me kick it off :)

The course has been released - http://www.enduroworldseries.com/media/giant-toa-enduro-releases-course-map-for-the-first-enduro-world-series-of-the-year. Of the 6 Whakarewarewa stages, 5 of them are on steep, technical, rooty tracks, and the other is the national DH course.

And here's Blenki and WynTV ripping down most of stage 1 - http://www.vitalmtb.com/v/28490

Weather forecast at the moment is looking distinctly soggy. Those roots are going to be super slippery. I expect some carnage.

We're heading down to Rotorua on Thursday, and hopefully I can post a few pics on the day.

I think the organisers are worried about the tracks getting stuffed up. Most of these tracks are ones that you'd stay well clear of when it is wet. Think ruts, puddles, muddy roots and off-camber.

Two of the tracks are pretty new too, so won't handle traffic so well when damp.

Regardless of the weather, it looks like it'll be a big day out on the bike!

"The one day race will take in seven stages over nearly 60km and feature over 1700m of climbing and 1800m of technical descents."
