As long as you don't expect knowledgable service, know exactly what you want, and exactly what price you should pay, don't e worried.

Don't take it back for it's "complimentary" first service.

Check bike all over to make sure all original components like brakes, cassette, etc are there and match.

Otherwise, go for it.

I understand your hesitation, BUT... Do what NicNac said...

Its a good price, and as long as you don't expect too much afterwards, you should be good

As long as u don't need any after sales service, upgrade advice or a bike fitting - go for it. Cajees are generally 10% cheaper than linden cycles etc especially with 2014 stock they have great deals.

If you're going to the one in Alberton, stay far away. I don't think they know the first thing about bicycling, cyclists or what we like. They're overpriced, **** comes back in a worse condition than when it went in. Check prices online before you go.

I bought a Giant TCR road bike from Cajees Fourways a while back. I've had no issues. They included a bike fit, which was quite accurate when I compared the reach and seat height to the Scott I'd been riding for a while. I have no regrets, but I never had a reason to go back to them to test their after sales service.

Just make very sure of the bike's components! Print a spec sheet from Giant's website and take it with to compare.

Like everyone else said - go in, pay for the bike, get it and leave.

I know the price is good, but still I feel hesitant.

Some advice would really be appreciated..

that particular shop you're in question are more "Sales-focus", so if you're hesitant or having second thought (or other pre-purchase guilt), rather spend some time to do some research to see what you'll be getting before making any commitments (to a purchase)

like many has mentioned, there's are plenty of bike-shops in Jozi to get advises and compare prices.

I really appreciate all ur advice. Feel a lot more comfortable. Want to do my first stage race next year Joberg2c on this bike.

Lekker man. F*ck around you get killed. As for Cajees. I'd never let them work on my bikes but if the price is right go,go,go! ! ! !

I got my new Titan from the store in Bedfordview about 3 weeks ago. What I love about them is you can haggle on the price.

I purchased the Titan 29er, Thule 3 bike rack, MTB shorts, gloves, shoes and clips, and a few smaller things. In total I got about a R4.5k discount.

What I didn't like, is they did not finish the bike preparation properly. Handle bars were lose when they brought the bike out to me. And the following day as I was about to head off on the Modderfontein trail with my mate, the back wheel came off.

I will definitely go back. I enjoyed dealing with them, but I would double check any work they do. For my own safety [emoji4]

I saw a beautiful 2014 Giant Anthem 1 at Cajees for 25k.

Is this a good purchase?

I know the price is good, but still I feel hesitant.

Bought my first bike from there as a very NOOB MTBr, I ended up wih a bike that was two sizes to big, was treated like a piece of meat when I had an issue with the bike after a weeks riding. If it was the last bike shop on earth, I'd gladly take up running. Find yourself a local GIANT dealer in your area, pay a bit extra if needed for someone to take the time to help you out.
