With winter apon us and wanting to still ride early morning but remaining comfortable (i.e. not too cold). Does anyone recommend riding with the thicker compression long johns and long sleeve shirts under ones racing vest? I am most interested in knowing if there is any chaffing or other problems when riding for over 2 hours with compressionwear under the chamois?

Super J Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I was told by my Vein specialist to never wear any form of compression garments while doing exercise, I have to permanently wear comp socks due to severe varicous veins, comp socks help prevent blood from damming up in the muscles, but comp socks put pressure externaly on the veins which cau ses the heart to have to pump harder to force the blood through this restricted muscle, post exercise is good but during is a no!

Pull them higher up your leg and stick the top of the legwarmer well under the leg of your shorts. The rubbery elastic should be against your skin. Once on, pull them up a little more so they are not too tight over your knees, especially when you fully bend your knees. They should not fall down. If they do, they may be the wrong size.
