Think Mr Ray Maker might have gotten a little worked up with that post. Sure, the project was late (aren't all startups in delivering their first product).

 

He has now had a look at one, and pointed out some data flaws:

Their initial communication was rather shocking, to be honest, and ... wasn't entirely truthful.

At least it is not vaporware anymore.

 

I hope the measurement is more consistent now. If they are actually shipping already (haven't received a notification myself yet), it shouldn't be too long before people start posting reviews/opinions.

Still seems a lot of concerns with the measuring and accuracy, so may well be many firmware updates in the coming months.

 

Am hoping they just did not succumb to pier pressure to ship units before they ironed out the majority of the issues!

Well, it appears that they are actually shipping. At least one person has received theirs, according to comments on the article on DCR's site.

And DCRainmaker had a chat with them as well, at Eurobike, plus picked up a unit with the updated firmware. So by next week we should know if they've improved the accuracy and consistency.
