StevieL Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 My biggest issue is whether to include the TT specialists (Cancellara, Martin) as the only real points they can offer is day 1 and possibly day 2, but they will be in yellow for those days, so can I afford to not have them in the team? Confusion reigns
Frosty Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 My biggest issue is whether to include the TT specialists (Cancellara, Martin) as the only real points they can offer is day 1 and possibly day 2, but they will be in yellow for those days, so can I afford to not have them in the team? Confusion reigns The sprinters WILL lose time to the ITT specialists on stage 1 - and to get it back over the first week, where 10-6-4 bonus seconds are available for the first three places, they need to win just about every stage. Not impossible, and every second counts. The first week will suit the breakaway specialists looking to get into yellow - question is... who will be in the break and will it succeed?
Frosty Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Results from the 2009 Tour, where Cancellara held onto yellow for the first 6 stages after winning the ITT (15Km) in Monaco. http://www.procyclingstats.com/race/Tour_de_France_2009-stages
