Nice and chunky........I set out to buy Wolverines and ended up with the Vigilanties, not sure how I got that right!! Seems that the Vigilante on the front and a Wolverine or TrailBoss on the back could be a fine combo!

Too much maybe for Highveld winter, I may take them off and save them for the summer rains!

Edited to add a little!

I agree with your sentiments on the mount grahams but I found them to be rubbish in the wet. A muddy ride at Jonkershoek last year resulted in them finding there way into the bin.

never rode in the wet with the mount graham luckily. It didn't last long enough. Absolutely brilliant rolling tyre though.

Anyone running WTB on ZTR rims?

I have a wolverine on a ztr flow ex 29er. Extremely extremely tight fit. I dread the day I have to open it to change stans or to put on the tube. Because of the tight fit, it seated easily with a floor pump.

I don't recommend it purely because of the installation and one day removing it.

I was running the Vigilante / Wolverine combo until yesterday.

Replaced the Wolverine with a Trailboss.

Could only get a 2.25 in tough / fast roll.

Fitted last night.

Will know how it compares to the Wolverine after this weekend (at Karkloof)

That they do, but they're also a proper pig to get on to some rims, Stans being the worst I've found so far.

Do you lube the tyre/rim before putting it on?

I use some sealant on both tyre & rim when fitting it.

the trailboss only available in 2.25.

but I cant really tell a significant difference between the wolverine and the trailboss (not gonna break out the vernier to measure)

Unless WTB is not being brought into the country, I don't see myself changing tyre brand.

You can top up the goo through the valve (it it's a removable core one)

Leave the tyre in the sun for an hour before fitting, then soapy water to help it on to the rim.

NGHHHH!

I give up. When the "fastest growing language" is "emoji" - there's something intrinsically wrong with how we communicate.

I imagine a bunch of historians happening upon a 21st century "smartphone" with a pre-loaded list of emojis, seeing entire conversations based on them, and thinking that there must have been Egyptians reborn in the 21st Century...
