Tromp Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 My LBS suggests that I replace ( as a service item , and XT chains being unavailble )) the chain on my XT groupset with Sram 1051 chain as " all these chains" are compatible. This is a fairly reputable LBS in the Randburg/Northgate area. Your thoughts ??

Paul Ruinaard Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Run this for a long time - no issues here. You can interchange clusters as well - so XT chain +SRAM Cluster (10 Speed this is) and vice versa

Long Wheel Base Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Yip will work. Even on road bikes. On my tandem I'm running Ultegra all round except the chain as the sram chain lasts a lot longer than the Ultegra.
