Disylizzy Posted June 18, 2015 Share Been caught out more than once in the rain - you need to keep your hands, feet and core dry. I see everyone here is recommending the Gabba jersey - there are other manufacturers internationally. I have a pearl izumi elite barrier convertible jacket. Whats nice about it is that since it's a convertible jacket it's breathable and you don't end up cooking in the jacket when temps are slightly warmer. I know you say you're clued up on cold weather riding, but for those that aren't this is a pretty nifty guideline to follow:http://learn.performancebike.com/bikes/advice/how-to-guides/cycling-clothing/dressing-for-the-season-essential-cycling-layering-tips

Bateleur1 Posted June 18, 2015 Share You getting soft over there now, my chomma? Nope not at all. In SA I was like a cat. If it rained I didn't get on the bike. Now I want to go out especially with the MTB coming up. The guys think cold as it is winter there. I am more worried about the wet and being exposed to the conditions for longer times
Bicyclegear Posted June 23, 2015 Share Bicyclegear.co.za has got a whole range of Vermarc Winter Apparel in stock. If it is Belgian you know it will be great quality, wind and water resistant... Check out the special we are running on winter rain/windjammers...
Bianchisti Posted June 23, 2015 Share Sportful "NoRain" Nanotechnology. Rolled with that in Norway and finished bone dry. Don't go anywhere near Nalini. But Gabba is my current protection of choice. Can't go wrong.
ians H2Sport Posted June 23, 2015 Share I recently invested in a Gortex Specialized jacket. Breathable, wind proof and water proof - the business!!

Check out the special we are running on winter rain/windjammers...I swear by my Vermarc waterproof jacket. The seams are sealed and it is 100 % waterproof, even after hours out there in the rain. It works extremely well in especially cold an wet weather as an outer shell to layer over polypropylene thermals or just a jersey.

My first post here - any recommendations as to who has the best range of Craft winter apparel? Been searching high and low this weekend for a jacket to use whilst mtb'ing as well as commuting. Jacques@ACT Posted June 28, 2015 Share For keeping your legs dry, try rainlegs. Look at rainlegs.com. We use this when commuting and also on our tours. Works really well. For upper body, under armour compression top with a few extra layers and a goretex jacket. Even though they all claim the jackets are breathable, you still get a sweat build up underneath. Not much you can do about that.
