What confuses me is that the race promo says 1577m, the route map/profiel on the website says 2054m. On the bottom of the same webpage it says 1362m. And Strava says 1283m... Very confusing.

I checked a few guys garmin details and all were in and around the 1300m mark. even though the ascent is similar to the CTCT, its a lot tougher because the 2nd and 3rd climb on this route is not followed by a descent but by an uphill drag and last year those drags were into the wind.

Also a very lonesome ride if you get dropped.... :whistling: .

Throw in a nice cold start and the first climb sorts the seeding out LOL.

The Akkerlaan climb seems woes.  Up to 20% grad at some places.  I've never even driven that road with a car, so have no idea what to expect.

Both climb 2 and 3 are cat 3 climbs.  Not too shabby.

The akkerlaan climb is like visserhok from the 4 way stop. Gets damn steep for the last 1.3 km or so. Happy im a few kgs lighter this year and a bit fitter

I climbed Vissershok last Sunday.  Love that hill.  So ok that gives me an idea.  This race is gonna be a thriller!  I'm looking forward to it.
