Guest notmyname Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I think the best advise was given on the first page. Decide what kind of mountain cycling you want to do. Then decide what bike best suits your requirements. Don't be fooled into thinking that south Africa is an xcm exclusively country.

Giant anthem, giant trance, Scott genius are all great all rounders that each lean more into a specific spot that suits their character best. Anthem tends toward marathon and xc Trance tends toward all mountain enduro trail Genius kind of sits across those types of riding intent

Turned out she was too scared to drive the real gnarly bits, so, yes, I had to turn back twice to go recover her.
