It's a 0.7mm difference, so each walls needs to be 0.35mm.. I believe a coke can is 0.30mm... It could work...  Use a beer can instead, maybe it will go down better with the other half...

I've also used some cut up Coke tin before with success

I once did an alignment out at Grootegeluk Coal Mine on a 150T Demag Shovel Drive Motor with a shim made out of a coke can.  Worked like a dream......

Met with PJ from shimstock this evening, got me a piece of brass, now to figure out how to make it work.

so just an update for anyone that might be interested. The shim I got was too hard for us without some kind of machine to bend it. OH expanded on the coke can idea, used an old deodorant can - had is first ride out today with the dropper - he's happier than the proverbial pig in ...
