Had a rough ride yesterday as we went south to cape point. Had to stand and pedal into the wind!!!

 

Forecast shows a perfect day starting north west with light drizzle swinging the o south west by mid morning.

This is good for early start groups cos it means they won't have a lot of wind pressure to work against.

Edrop the pressure so you have a compliant tyre. You don't want your tires so hard they bounce off every stone on the road. That's going to make for sketchy handling in the corners. A good rule of thumb is 10% lower than what you run in the dry.

I like this forecast. The wind will be at your back all the way home!! Don't forget tyre width also plays a part. If I ran 5 bar in my 22mm tubbies I'd pinch flat if I hit anything bigger than a 10c piece an I am 60kg.
