For those that don't want to get sick before Sunday.

  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Don't touch your face (thats how gems get in)
  • Drink lots of water
  • Eat like a boss
  • Get lots of sleep
  • Take 1000 mg VitaminC daily

Add also:

No kissing random people, no matter how sexy

Avoid shaking hands, and again wash wash wash (face sommer as well)

Avoid crowded air conditioned places like movies, music concerts, lecture halls

Avoid planes like the pits (tricky if you fly in - hold your breath or wear a mask?)

Avoid kiddies, creches and anywhere the  little germ factories hang out

If you have a little one at home, you are in trouble.

I have been finishing off my so-called training this week. Did a nice fastish MTB ride on Monday and what was supposed to be a 30k or so road jol yesterday evening. I made it 22km before some pothole or expansion joint took out both my front and back tyres in one go as I was crossing the end of the M3 flyover towards main road. I have now had 4 flats since starting training this year which is 4x as many as I have ever had in training for and riding 11 Argus tours  WTF.

The positive: rather in training than in the race

Nooit, atleast you have good training on changing tyres on the move.

It sounds like the racing in 1A is going to be more intense that in $ hehe.

I've noticed that from 1D - K the start times is only 90 sec, and then from 2A again it is 3 mins. Any particular reason for these small time gaps?

When the last riders from 1D cross the start line, 1E is about to start, etc all the way to K. There is going to be one massive group on the road.

Perhaps the "1" groups are going to be smaller? Does anyone have more info?

So the wife is picking up my entry tomorrow. What does she need from me to pick it up? Just my time chip?

Your chip and your number.  If you (like me and everybody else I know) don't yet have a number, I imagine you'll get it between now and tomorrow, by email and SMS.

If you don't yet know your number by the time you arrive you can go to the Racetec or enquiries stand and they'll be able to look it up, but there may be quite a queue.
