Well that was FAST and HOT! :)

Shades of DC, was more like a race than a ride!

Thanks Cresta Wheels, great event as always

Congratulations to the organizing team! A very slickly produced event. This is without doubt the toughest 200km Audax ride in Gauteng. The climb of 2200m over 200km was a real challenge for me. Only 3 laps of SBR (3750m over 171km) is tougher in Gauteng, IMHO. It was hot out there yesterday! The climb out of Magaliesburg at midday, saw me retreating into the pines outside Tarlton to cool down enough to continue. My Polar got up to 40 deg. C.

Heat was major factor.

Excessive fluid loss caused hardcore cramping. Legs are slowly coming back from pertified wood status.

Will see if easy spinning sessions sorts them out

Was a super event indeed. As for the heat, I had an average temp of 31 degrees with a max of 42.
