dev null Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Today is the type of day where the tour can easily be lost. Best attack against Sky today will be the descents in the rain. They will rather want to stay safe today. LM must also be carefull. He is not the best on wet roads. He had a crash last year on wet roads on a descent.
jimmycool Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I desperately want to see a break away take the final stage in Paris, it always looks as though it might work but gets caught in the final lap. Cummings + Tony Martin in a break would be the coolest thing ever! How about a Tommy D, Megawatts Martin and Stevo breakaway. The rest of the field could just as well give up.
Vetplant Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 How about a Tommy D, Megawatts Martin and Stevo breakaway. The rest of the field could just as well give up. Does anybody have the number for Doug Ryder? Please WhatsApp him this plan! I'll be happy for any 1 of those 3 to take Paris!

Weather not looking like a threat at the moment. That little system you see there is north of where they are and moving away at the moment.
meathead Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Someone should really tell this oke that the "most aggressive rider" competition isn't judged on riders' facial expressions It worked for Voeckler the other day.
dev null Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I think Aru is going to blow spectacularly today. *Hoping and praying*
Pure Savage Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 The Movistar riders, including Nairo Quintana have opted for a different warm up and are out riding the lower parts of the first climb of the stage. Interesting

It looks fairly substantial on the route profile. Is it perhaps due to the fact that the first bit is neutralised for the start?

jimmycool Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Is it not out of category?I dunno?I was just going on the picture from the fantasy page.https://cdn.bikehub.co.za/uploads/monthly_06_2016/ccs-2-0-41825300-1467033832.png
jimmycool Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Now that I look at it again there are no category markings on that picture. Doh

jimmycool Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Here is the correct one and I was right. There is no category for the first climb http://cdn.media.cyclingnews.com/2016/06/01/1/tour_de_france_2016_stage_19_profile_670.jpg
shaper Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 And we racing...2 small groups break away from the start.. about 10 in each group, 2nd group slowly catching... peleton not overly interested, 1'50 the break
Pure Savage Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 De Gendt (Lotto) is driving the break away. His teammate Greg Henderson revealed that the Belgian rarely has a massage during races so he can some how 'feel' the tension or fatigue in his legs. De Gent also pushes out 500w for a sustained spell of several minutes to shake out the attack. Whoever can hold that pace usually manages to form the break with De Gendt.
