Mongoose! Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 It could be a winner if the wheel size were 29"....why 27,5?
Jaco-fiets Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Would really like to try this bike out!!!! Stefalbertyn 1
Odinson Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Internal routing for a dropper on a road bike (oops! "gravel grinder") with 30mm travel. Really, Cannondale?
clyde79 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 This does seem like quite an odd mix. Baracuda 1
rock Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 actually the cheaper 105 model would be the winner imho. Wez-O and Baracuda 2
Wez-O Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Looks amazing! Are they also available with solid front forks? Stefalbertyn 1
Baracuda Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 This does seem like quite an odd mix. Indeed. I can see the utility of gravel / cycle-cross bikes if you need to do a few kilometers of jeep track or dirt roads on your predominantly road commute or training ride - e.g. Spec Diverge or Giant TCX, but once it gets rougher than that and you need suspension for corrugations etc. why not buy a hardtail 29er MTB with narrowish tires?
Sportsworld.co.za Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The SuperX looks amazing if you want a solid fork: http://media.cannondale.com/media/catalog/product/cache/3/small_image/725x/17f82f742ffe127f42dca9de82fb58b1/C/1/C16_C17226M_BLK_3.1440862958.jpg The Slate falls under Cannondale's "New Road", the top version looks pretty amazing, 1 x 11 with a 44T in front: http://media.cannondale.com/media/catalog/product/cache/3/small_image/725x/17f82f742ffe127f42dca9de82fb58b1/C/1/C16_C15706M_BLA_3.1440862886.jpg Still, I'm keen to put drop handlebars on a MTB hard tail!
Spoke101 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 55k I think might be a little steep for what you get.
