Anyone here applied for a US visitors visa from New Zealand?

If so, how long from interview until visa issued?

I had my B1/B2 visa within 2 or 3 days after the interview. Not sure if its different for different classes of visa though.

What everyday beer do you guys consume in NZ?

I’m a sheeple Castle lite consumer here in SA. What could compare to that?

Lots of options from all your international stuff to the local stuff. Locals include:

Speights Gold Medal

Speights Summit (probably akin to a Lite)

Speights Mid

Steinlager (which has a lite, I don't like Steinies so no idea what it's called)

Lion Red (yes, you can now down a Lion again and feel satisfied)

Tui (which probably also has a few varieties)

Double Brown

Waikato Draught (river water)

Etc etc etc.

Interview was super quick, and they said visa was approved, so now the wait to get my passport back (they mentioned the 2-3 days that you did).

Did you get the 10yr multiple entry visa, or did they give you a shorter one, like they do for Aussie tourists?

Thanks. Just checked it out. Looks like it would either be Speights Summit or Lion Ice.

Speights is my preferred beer; gold medal though for me, spose it's a bit like Castle or maybe Amstel (in a brown bottle though). I don't like low cal or half strength beers although I will drink DB 2 percenter 'beer flavoured drinks'; just looked and it's called DB Export Citrus. Note that this stuff is not beer by any means!

The US embassy saw kindly on me and granted the 10yr multiple entry that they always used to.

I was worried with Tronald Dump in power and applying from NZ they would just give me a short 1-2yr visa, similar to the ESTA that Aussies and Kiwis get.

Anyway, very impressed with the turnaround time. 2 days from application to delivery.

A couple of "out of town questions".

What would it take to say get a job as a delivery driver ? Or say a postman ? In NZ.

And the next one what are the government policies on equal opportunity employment within both government and the private sector?

Dunno, but they've got cool little electric tjorries. Although did see a guy labouring up a hill on a bike. Figured out might be worth getting the job just for the training opportunities.

Beats humping a bag through South London estates that I did in a previous life.

There's always ample demand from employers for people willing to do manual/labour intensive work.
