Thank you for the video Dizzy !!! Awesome !

Tube - thanks for being the back marker and making sure the cars gave space when needed.  Sorry Wannabe missed out.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention Thor who also missed out - he took a bad tumble as well. Next time.

And thank you to everyone who came out. When we left somerset west the rain was pouring - thought it would be a wet cycle and only a few folk, but the weather turned out great !

As usual, was great to have the yearly catch up - and also nice to meet others! We even had a lady out from the Uk who rode with us and has not been on a bicycle in like years! Although she did catch a lift home..... smart chick!

Was especially great to meet some folk who were friends of friends and dont do the Bikehub.

We stayed for milkshakes with the kids when everyone left. I am amazed at how resilient they are, all the fires, which came right up to their door. All the demonstrating in Masiphumele, when they were to scared to go to school. The one little boy (shy as heck) said all he remembers was the "horrible smoke that made him cry and throw up" (tear gas). But could not stop smiling from his chocolate milkshake and the fluffy toy monkey hanging round his neck!!

And then of course we cycle home along the beach front we were just reminded of how the simple act of being on a bicycle outside can be so uplifting.

So thank you to all for making this christmas an exciting one for the kids.

Oh and on a positive note, the girl with the dreadlocks in the video, got accepted to Fish Hoek High School !!  So if anyone feels like sponsoring a years stationary ... get in touch.

Next year we do this again ? And maybe we will see if Admin can actually ride a bicycle. Maybe get a fancy bicycle and  we can all do a test ride on the beach front.

I still peddled home over Suikerbossie and up Constantia Nek - girls had the joy of the Landy!

Chuffed with the build on the Pyga 120, got really lucky with the parts. And the good news is my Max has just arrived. So my 110 will be up for sale in a couple of weeks.

How do we go about helping to sponsor the stationery required?

Short of another broken hip/vertebra, I will be there next year with some troops. (If you make it Blouberg again, Myles can get a longer ride in. )

While I couldn't get the toys there on Wed, the kids from my girlfriend's work charity has benefitted so that is an additional benefit of Slowbee's work and my friend's generosity! :)

I agree on calling Admin out to come and join next year!

Kudos to you Slowbee for organising this once again.

I'll start making arrangements now for 2016. Unfortunately it clashed with my mom's birthday (she stays out of town which made timing tricky). I'll make sure there's room for this ride next year.

A bicycle? What's that?  ;)

You are lucky to get off without a warning point! ;)
