Please can everyone remember to stay on the left hand side of the white line so as to avoid causing crashes in the bunch when the muppets push back into the group due to oncoming cars?

Won't happen if groups merge on or before the Steps; and from the turn towards Suikerbosrand's back door the wind puts the bunches on the right-hand side for a good few KMs.

Holy cr@p. I still can't figure out what's worse. Headwind or crosswind. And I had a lot of time to compare them today.

The best organisation of the 4 I have done so far. Kudos!!!

 

I know it is supposed to be a dress rehearsal for the Argus but this wind was ridiculous!!! Gutter riding on open roads is NOT fun. My worst showing on a bike ever. I am actually a bit skaam about the groups that caught me. I had to have a serious talk to myself not to wheelsuck some of the short distance riders.

 

I will have work something out that can make a difference in 3 weeks. EPO works too slow.... Anyone with some O+ bags extra lying around??

The race organization was great! The venue and route good again.

 

But I must say that the marshaling or actually the commissaire was crap! In VA for long stretches there was guttering all the way over onto the right hand edges. No marshals insight to sort out. The split gaps to the break was also not once communicated to the chase bunch.

 

Other than that, a Lekker tough one.

I had fun in VA riding at the front. Really enjoyed it until my stomach problems began and I had to slow down.

Yeah, I spent a lot of time in the gutter. I refuse to ride on the wrong side of the road. Our marshalls kept clearing the right side of the road out. At one point, one genius went into the echelon to the right of the marshall's bike ????
