Start times should be out tomorrow if number collection starts on Wednesday...

We completed the seeding process for both the Emperors Road and MTB Classic over the weekend and riders will receive an sms and email with their batch numbers and start times on Tuesday morning.

 

Please note that riders who don’t receive this sms or email will likely find that:

1. We have your incorrect email address and/or mobile number on the ASG Events system, or
2. Your browser spams the seeding mail

 

Please note than registration takes place inside the big Marquee next to the Mondior Hotel at Emperors Palace (follow the signage from the boom gates) at the following times:

 

• Wednesday 6 April 2016: 10h00 - 16h00
• Thursday 7 April 2016: 10h00 - 16h00
• Friday 8 April 2016: 10h00 - 16h00
• Saturday 9 April 2016: 09:00 - 15:00 (ROAD RACE AND CRITERIUM ONLY).

Riders are requested to have their seeding sms handy at registration to speed up the registration process.

Is it safe? If the car gurads or anyone else around at that time see you busy getting ready and they realise you doing the race they will know they got a few hours without you coming back. I don't know that parking. Is it open parking? But otherwise it's a good idea, saves the stress of a traffic jam before and afterwards.

The parking is nowadays all boomed off and needs to be paid for. Dont think Eastrand malls gates will be opened as yet that time, maybe just the undercover parking at the back

Not optimal from a safety point of view. Those hills were the only places where the bunches broke up a bit.

if I look at the projected time for VA. It will be the same speed as The Fast One.Was not dangerous at all

So I have to, AGAIN, drive my sorry skinny white ass 120km to this ()@#*$) registration place.  Spend R120 on petrol.  1 hour of my life gone.  Wasted on yet ANOTHER paper number pickup.

@LongWheelBase - the parking at the K90 center is relatively safe. The old Boksburg Cycle lab used to be situated there so when we rode from there we never had issues. Also there is a Virgin active there that is fairly popular, adding additional cars and traffic in the parking if that helps settle the mind a bit.
