Cadre Posted March 16, 2016 Share Why is this thread so quiet?Awkward date, says a mate from up North. 24th is just before payday. Had it been the 1st of May a long weekend could have been organized to bring the family down. Instead he is arranging leave from the 27th of April to the 2nd of May for a getaway elsewhere with the family and a trip to Durban the weekend before will break the bank.(Just a view to share since you are asking). hayleyearth Posted March 17, 2016 Share https://www.strava.com/segments/9346907 Sheesh that made me say the "D..." word out loud. That's some serious climbing on cold legs and crazy descending. Maybe I will attend. (If I don't end up doing Panarama Tour)

(If I don't end up doing Panarama Tour) your legs won't be cold as the climb is about 15km into the race. The climb isn't as bad as it looks, the first 2km is a steady gradient but after that you have a few sections to recover before climbing into Pinetown. The descent is fun, expect to get up to 85-90km/h in a bunch.
Dazshell Posted March 17, 2016 Share Number 4 coming up. Look forward to some major testosterone issues from the start to the Bluff turn-off with fast batches on the M4 South. M19 burn is a jol! Big balls! Then full road closure on the M4 North to Tongaat and back. It doesn't get better.

Have no idea why. Also those speeds i a bunch I will never want to do (not in the bunches I ride in sadly)

Friedpiggy Posted March 17, 2016 Share Will be doing my first one, also being my first ever road race. Just hoping I finish it, since I started cycling not so long ago. In fact the race falls exactly 111 days after I started cycling. Bit nervous to be honest. Cadre
