Like I said being accused of racism is not a small thing and unfortunately in SA one is guilty until proven innocent.Exxaro (I hope) is going to take this further (according to the phone call I received from them). And then I think it will be time to take them on if need be. Hope they get their just deserve when the truth comes out!

From my perspective, it looks like the situation has swung from them definitely breaking the law, to you allegedly using a racist profanity, and it's the latter accusation that is spurring them to actual action.Hot or cold?

And think I should start by opening a case against the team at the SAPS as we have an admission of guilt.

I hear that word being used all the time at commuters. Heck there was even a case of the k- word in the CTCT on Sunday . No one said anything to the person who used the word except me, and that earned me some abuse from those defending the cras insensitive arse wipe who used the. All the rider (recipient of the verbal abuse) did was hop into a gap in a faster moving train in the peloton. Nothing ever gets done about the racial abuse in the races because even though there are witnesses it's always ok to be a racist because t not on to be an overly enthusiastic cyclist. Based on what hear in events I can believe on probability that the k-word was hurled. Did it actually happen? I don't know but I'm willing to give them benefit of the doubt A few points to consider: Jus holds himself out to be in a position of authority vis-à-vis the Exxaro cyclists in questionJus bases his allegations on hearsay and they are purely exculpatory.By his own admission he has no personal knowledge of what happened or was said. He states that his "boys" confirmed what Francois alleged but raises the race card in an attempt at exculpation (the specific utterance is subsequently denied by Francois).Despite having no personal knowledge of the facts, he accuses Francois on a public forum of racist conduct. This in the post- Penny Sparrow Age.The only person we know for a fact that used racist language is Jus himself. It's true that they are breaking the law, I agreed that if we help them to understand or educate them in a good way that will make a difference to them than swearing at them. The words Stupid K (sorry I am not going to even post that word) was used to them. That doesn't makes changes to the people. I'm always trying my best to them to understand the dynamic of sports everyday, it will be good for all of us if we help each other to rectify our mistakes than swear to them.Just one point that needs to be made very VERY clear. They are the party that started swearing at me and me wife. I simply said, guys that was a red light... and they started telling me to **** off.

They should have taken the high ground, apologised and moved on. Instead they got all upity and defensive and high and mighty, and took the low ground .. and said but he told us we are not nice people (AFTER we jumped the robots). And now we have a mess. Mr Cois, I hope you take these guys on. Perhaps a gift voucher for the Hub's Public Relationship Course ? We have more diverse languages, people, cultures, and opinions than Julius at a state of the nation address.

I am in the lower income group so taking on a company like Exxaro might not be fun. They have a legal team waiting like bloodhounds and I have nothing. I know I did not utter that k word. And so help me YHUW, He knows me! I will not call another person the k-word. (had a very severe beating when I was a little boy when I called our gardener the k-word before 1994 and was brought up in a house where all people are respected)

Unless your employer specifically threatened to fire you or you suffered actual losses other than your dignity I say drop it and move on before this thing becomes even more toxic than it already is. I don't see what you stand to gain by involving lawyers, leave the big battles for the important stuff.

Rocket-Boy Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 So it looks like it will boil down to the usual story, ones word against another, the race card being drawn and financial might forcing someone into submission. At least no one can accuse me of racism living in another province!
