1x11 for me, no other choice imho. If/when 1x12 gets launched, that would be the weapon of choice

2* 3x9

Next plan is SS - a complete bike and not only drive train, then my "speed" is 1x "as fast as I can pedal"

1 x 12?

Tempting but I'm going with wider range and closer ratios. My dream build will be Di2 (2 x 11) but with single shifter.

Seems to me there are some limitations  that apply to shimano 2 x 11 - 11/40 cassette and max 10 tooth diference on the front - pretty much means the same range as 10/50 12 speed - guess we will have to wait for 1x12 to be certain.

Interesting times, I won't lie...... I like new technology and advancement.

How did the 1 x 11 feel on the epic this year?

It was ok but I still think the smart guys were riding 2 x 10/11. Spent plenty time on that 42.

That makes up my mind then I'm new to MTB coming from road bike I bought a Merida with XT 2x11.

I was considering going 1x11 ,but think I will keep the extra chain ring and shifter until I ride plenty of climbs and make up my mind.
