Kittel is making everyone else seem very much second rate at the Giro. He even eased off the gas at the end and still won by a mile.

Watching the highlights now on Spanish tv and "South Africa" and Dimesion Data are getting a fair bit of mention thanks to Johann Van Zyl in the break - who has coincidentally just done a runner with 11km to go.

 

Nasty pile up at 10.5km to go in the peloton. Took some guys a while to get going again :-(

One annoying factor in grand tours is when the ITT is scheduled for a Sunday. The Giro does it twice. That effectively means two rest days for me as watching an ITT is even more boring than watching golf or tennis.

 

What's wrong with a huge mountain stage and full day broadcast on a Sunday?

He was doing way more work than anybody else, and you could see him getting frustrated.

 

What an engine though. Must say the DD guys are looking in good physical shape.
