Wow, but the cables on the Silverback picture are below the chain ring. I know it is only the picture but that scares me a lot.

if you choose the Trance (which you obviously will because it's the best), make sure to do internal routing for the dropper from day one. Will save you endless k@k.

There are quite a few Giants available in the classifieds - which begs the question: if they are that good why are so many being sold?

Because they're seen as "budget" bikes - not boutique enough for some people. 

 

Also - a lot of people may be upgrading to the newer version, or a slightly better specced bike or or or. It's not bad because a lot of people are selling them. There are a lot of them around cos they're DAMN good value for money.
