Garmin warranty experience - Kudos

I bought my wife a Vivosmart fitness watch for Christmas in 2015. Towards the end of 2015, the display started to degrade, and lines of text were getting blacked out on the edges of the display. I took it to Navworld in Maitland and was told it was 1 month out of warranty. But... there was a little wiggle room, and they'd get back to me. They did with news that they'd swap it out for a new unit. Took about a week to get a new unit, and all was well. I was impressed with the service

 

Now we've discovered that the flaw has resurfaced on the new unit. Took it back to Navworld, and got it swapped out again. But this time for the new Vivosmart HR. This unit retails for 2x the purchase price of the original unit. I'm not seriously impressed with the service. A little less so with the fact that the original Vivosmart was a dud device, but at least Garmin were willing to stand by their product and offer excellent customer service.

 

Kudos Garmin and Navworld.

Navworld in Centurion replaced my HRM, no questions asked. So although I'm not too thrilled about the fact that the HRM only lasted slightly more than half a year, and can only assume that the replacement one will do the same (at which point then my warranty will have lapsed), I must commend them on standing by their warranty.

need to visit Navworld Durban soon. Having issues with my speed/cadence sensor, sensor is powering up and picks up both speed and cadence as the magnets pass by but the 510 just cannot pick up the sensor.

In less than 15 minutes my Edge 1000, was replaced.  I took it in as it switched of twice during the Sani2C.  Wow, now Fenix 2 will be replaced with the Fenix 3 Sapphire HR.  Navworld Randburg, you rock!

Visited Navworld Durban yesterday for the faulty speed/cadence sensor. No fuss, swapped out immediately. Hard to find after sales support like this.
