Just thought I'd add that I found the Trail Cross SL to be true to size length wise and with nice wide toe box(wider than Adidas shoes typically are), they were a slight touch too narrow for the first week and now they have worn in they are perfect. I have wide feet, I often find myself not being able to choose a shoe just due to them being too narrow so these are pretty roomy in the toe box.

Ya they are proper roomy for me but if I feel when I push down really hard my foot has space to squash. I was worried when I first go them but it makes sense while pedaling, you know, the massive torque...

Reviving an old thread. Any updates on local flat pedal shoe options? Seems the Terrex Trail Cross is no longer available locally. Are we literally down to Five Tens and Specialized only? Struggling to find options for my UK13 feet. Perhaps risking an import is the only option despite the fierce duties...

If you only ride flats get some five10's. If you alternate or just for mucking about rather get skate shoes. The grip on my nike's are very close to that of my five10 Impact VXi. The benefits of the dedicated shoe become apparrent in wet conditions and long distances. The steel toe cup is also obviously a major benefit.Etnies and Vans make BMX shoes.

Have a look at Edgars, they had Terrex on sale not too long ago. I bought mine from Cape Union Mart, however their stock fluctuates quicker than the rand.

Just on a side note, Cyclelab megastore in Fourways has some flat pedals in stock. I noted Shimano Saints (going for R1300 odd) as well as KORE pedals both in composite and steel.

Thanks, I am exclusively riding flats so a dedicated shoe makes more sense. Tried cleats again for a bit and decided flats work best for me. I will see if I can find the Five Tens in UK13, but have struggled in my previous attempts as the importers naturally don't bring in sizes that are not in high demand. The search continues

I have brand new pair of 5-10s (OK, tried on once and worn around the house) which don't fit me.

I can't remember the size but if they fit, you will have a bargain.

Any chance of a size update?

Cool, thanks. I received the same update and have been in contact with them about shoes. The challenge is that I have always had trouble finding shoes that fit and with this deal I would have to take the risk of buying a pair and hoping they fit. No return possible if they don't fit so it's a tricky one. Might run into this issue regularly by the looks of it, few places stock sizes that I can first try.

They fit the same as any sneaker as far as size goes. I bought mine off CRC and was also doubtful about it. I even made sure by measuring my foot with a ruler. Found out how on google and then placed my order.

Width is where I come unstuck, length wise I know what I am looking for
